@phoenixferals: Tom got a new house today! For the last few weeks since I’ve had him in rescue, he’s been enjoying a cozy dog kennel, which is great for short term stays especially when there’s possibility of needing to be transported to the vet. But Tom has been doing really good with his hyperthyroid symptoms, so it was time for him to graduate to a triple tier kennel! He’s scheduled to receive the radioactive iodine treatment in July, but until then, it’s easier for medicating and wrangling him for transport if he remains in a kennel. Tom will eventually enjoy an indoor retirement in my home, starting off in his own large bedroom. While he’s not super far on the feral spectrum, he is not a friendly pet cat. So retirement will be a slow and gradual process over months and maybe years as he acclimates to the space and my presence ❤️ I’m just so grateful that he’s safe and we’re able to provide him with medical care 😭❤️‍🩹 #hyperthyroidism #feralcatsmatter #catrescuer
