This is the dumbest debate I’ve heard in my entire life first off people actually want to be able to kill leviathans 😭 (not all) but what is the point of the game if the big bad is now dinner and outside of the 2 leviathans all the other mobs do way to little damage and the sonic resonator is extremely easy stun them and the battery argument is ridiculous the recharge station is insanely good and batteries are essentially a early game item u could easier pump out over 20 in the first hour of playing also all of the aggressive mobs tracking is horrible they r super easy to avoid even if u dont stun them including the collector leviathans the only aggressive mob with good tracking is the shiver which is essentially not a mob at all at least with the way it impacts ur gameplay if the marrow breach could 2 shot u i could see a argument for weapons especially because that level of tech is definitely in the world like the 2 marrows in the lava zone should be able to tag team instant kill u we can reprint for a reason and they r essentially non issues even without a tadpole

No its actually incredibly simple, the planet we landed on it under 60 atmospheres of pressure which means literally everything is tougher, thicker and denser, meaning while we are relatively strong on earth, on this planet we are the weakest thing to exist (and yes i know we got the genetic adaptation but thats only to survive the pressure and breathe the oxygen) also it means everything we know about how to combat different things is completely different

see i like the leviathans in subnautica one even when i had the tools i didmt wamna use ehm matter of fact i didnt even wanna be close to the leviathans as much as possible lol i needed the engine parts for the cyclops and the reaper showed up and i barely lived only reqson i did is because i found a nook to hide in as i needed a new dive suit after that lol i like the terror of the leviathans i dont find the ocean scary i like the threat of a leviathan their geniunly fun to wncounter

alot of people don't even care about the lore reason they just want to have more aggressive gameplay, but i don't mind the lack of weapons. the use of the sonic resonator to deter wildlife is enough for me. My only hope is that we get something similar to the stasis rifle BECAUSE I MUST SCAN EVERYTHING, and I can't scan while being eaten😥

A lot of people keep saying the argument that we’re not meant to be at the top of the food chain. That is not the point, it is a survival game, believe it or not in survival instances defending yourself is rather important, the first game struck a great balance of a company that has limits on lethal tools, forces you to get creative. The knife allows you to cut and dis way predators, the stasis gun buys you time for predators, and the prawn suit allows you a mining tool to further defend yourself. The point is we are meant to be apart of the ecosystem, but if we can’t defend ourselves then we are forever outsiders, and as a game mechanic we must always run and hade, with no bravery and no survival instincts.
