@cherry.dollface: 1) exosomes: there simply isn’t enough data to support their usefulness in skincare. Stick to exosomes in professional services that introduce them deeper into the skin via micro needles or lasers. At this point, it’s just a fancy skincare buzzword. 2) home IPL: can actually stimulate hormonal hair growth, so if you’re using them on your face, they can make those few chin whiskers a full on beard. They can also cause hyperpigmentation! 3) beef tallow: a gross, inelegant product that does little more than potentially hydrating skin in the same way a heavy moisturizer does. More likely to cause irritation and break outs. 4) sunscreen: does NOT cause cancer. But there’s almost a century of scientific evidence to show that sun does. Sunscreen saves lives. Wear your sunscreen. 5) AI skincare: is just a silly idea. Critical thinking is a skill we all need and relying on AI for every aspect of life is shrinking that skill set. #skincaretrends
