ronaldo can score freekicks in his sleep but my guess is that on his way of reinventing himself and become an elite number 9 he had to put away whatever pride he had as the world'd best left winger, the flashy dribbles down the wing, the prideful 1 on 1s that he was undefeatable at and feared for. him clinging to the knuckleball regardless of his inability to do so is more or less his way of clinging to the last shred of the winger Ronaldo once was, unable to let go of his past. everyone associates ronaldo as a selfish egoist but to me if ronaldo is selfish then no one is selfless atleast no mortal
