As someone who does work in PT research, ankle/arch stability and strength is a big downfall for a lot of runners. If they are weak, your body will compensate and you will get injured. Also focusing on mobility under load, isometrics, unilateral, controlled rotational exercises, plyometrics, etc. A lot of people under prioritize their tendons and joints, and running exposes weakness fast.

I’m trying to get back into the gym and you’re absolutely my biggest inspiration!! But a quick question-I keep seeing huge slander about doing leg days with cushioned shoes, everyone says converse are best or even barefoot-I have plantar fasciitis so I struggle in a flat shoe. But I see you’re doing them in a running shoe-any particular reason or just to not have to keep extra shoes with you? I don’t want to injure myself but seeing you doing it-I think I’ll be fine! Much love!!
