went to amsterdam by myself and on my first evening i tried finding a nice place to eat but all of them were PACKED with large groups of friends talking and having fun, so i just got one of those pre packaged salads at the grocery store and went up to my miniscule hotel room and cried 🧍🏻♀️the rest of the trip was fine tho but it takes time getting used to it ngl

I went to Curaçao last year and I thought I’d be super nervous but ended up having the best time and met another solo traveler my age and this sweet couple who pretty much took me under their wing 😩

As an experienced solo traveler I cannot stress enough… BAR SEATING every restaurant every time until you’re comfortable sitting alone people are really warm to solo travelers it’s pretty much the most kindness you’ll ever see from humans
