I feel like Cis Black Women who identify as a Womanist/ Feminist should include trans people in their activism not only for the fact the cis black women experience transphobia from our yt supremacist society but Trans people are actively facing a GENOCIDE when the max life span for a Black Trans woman is 35 years old, I’m kinda annoyed trans people got dragged into the conversation because I feel like we should be having conversations on building community with all women while we’re also experiencing a Femicide.

If anything she took the time to make videos about letting white women into her feminism, before trans women, black women, incarcerated women. Exactly 🙌🏽. Transphobia is often weaponized against us by everyone as cis black women are already masculinized in society for our bodies and roles in our community. Michelle Obama, Meg the Stallion, and Serena Williams are prime examples.

my biggest take away from this entire situation is people’s aversion to their favs being critiqued lol. the amount of people equating good faith criticism to “dogpiling” or “bullying” this girl, and then coddling her by telling her she doesn’t have to apologize was so bizarre to me. not saying there weren’t people who were being mean spirited when talking about her, but the majority of videos i’ve seen were just like, “hey idk if you’re a terf, but you’ve created a space for them to feel comfortable being transphobic. and maybe you should speak up against that.” and her fans also aren’t helping by basically saying that she’s somehow too young and uneducated to be critiqued (she’s 21 btw). because if that’s the case, why is she even discussing gender politics in the first place? when you talk about something that divisive, you’re bound to have people disagree with you.
