Today during my fast, I read Genesis 1. Later I come across a sermon preaching from the same chapter. What stood out to me while reading was how God spoke everything into existence ‘Let there be light’ and there was light. Then God saw that it was beautiful. It reminded me that the same God who spoke creation into being can still speak light into the darkest parts of our lives, and make something beautiful out of them too. Maybe this wasn’t a coincidence after all.
