Do you remember when it was 40 degrees a few years ago? I had to work my shift in a sunbed shop. People still came in to use them and they generate so much extra heat

Working in a school is a nightmare. 30+ people in a small room where the windows on open 3/5cm. Blinds have fallen apart so sun glaring in.

its an employers responsibility to ensure the workplace is a comfortable temperature to work in. I went to work when it was 38c outside, I'm a truck mechanic. it was like an oven in the workshop at 1330 as I was on lates, to told them it's too hot and I went home. no action taken against me

So worked for Mr Kiplings bakery. In hot weather dozens of large industrial fans come out throughout the working area. In winter we have Red rads. During summer they hand out free cups of juice with a powder helping us cool down. Everyone can ask for assistance if they are feeling overwhelmed by the heat.

I work in care and there’s no AC. The heat is unbearable as the fans just push the hot air around the rooms, you touch the walls and floors and they’re literally hot to the touch. I got sent home yesterday with heat stroke! I hate summer 😥

i used to work in a pasty shop in this heat, surrounded by an industrial oven and heated display cases, purely windows as it was a shop, no AC, 1 shitty fan, all black outfits, was health and safety risk field day honestly

I'm disabled and asked for a fan under DSE never got it . I work from home and in a conservatory so baking but as there is still an office that is what they will force me to do even though the travel in and back is an issue as well for me
