@thebirdlens: She fed the crows in her garden. They brought her 100 gifts in return. 🐦⬛ In 2011, eight-year-old Gabi Mann started dropping food for crows in her Seattle backyard. Within months they were leaving objects on the empty feeder tray — a pearl heart, earrings, LEGO pieces, sea glass, screws. Over 100 items in four years. When her mother lost a camera lens cap in a nearby alley, a crow returned it to the feeder within days. Scientists call it reciprocal altruism. The crow identifies your face, tracks your behavior, and responds to consistent kindness with something it values. But here's the part nobody mentions: researcher John Marzluff noted crows sometimes bring dead prey instead of trinkets. Because that's what they'd give a mate. They're not trying to be cute. They're treating you like family. In crow terms — that's everything 🖤 Have you ever fed a crow? Comment 👇 #Crows #CrowGifts #BirdLens #BirdIntelligence #WildlifeFacts

We raised a baby American Robin two summers ago. She comes back to visit us every week. Doesn’t bring anything except a hungry tummy.

In Islam crows are known to be extremely intelligent and mentioned to be “the first teachers”. It’s mentioned in the Quran and this was only discovered by science in the late 90’s. ❤️❤️
