"Oyakodon" is called Oyakodon, because it's a "don" that combines "oya" (parent) and "ko" (child). In Oyakodon, there's chicken and egg, hence why it's called "oyakodon"

hahaha... I didn't even know that was a recipe. I eat this in the morning for breakfast for about 10 years. No mirin but everything else. I even put a bit of chili because I like it spicy. 😜
