As wise as she sounds This type of mindset is often learnt from trauma and it can disguise as empathy and understanding. When you grow up negelected emotionally as a child or constantly made to feel unsafe in previous r/ships even friendships,it changes your standards for love . So when you meet someone who offers you kindness , consistency and willingness to stay ...your nervous system presents them as salvation. So it cancels out other form of disrespects like cheating, betrayal or emotional neglect. Not because they don't hurt, but because you've learnt how to tolerate it in exchange for presence. But the truth is surviving unhealthy love doesn't make it healthy. It's her life anyway and i'm not criticizing her... Just explaining trauma patterns we don't often see.
