As a guest, I always bring a “First Year Anniversary” card and then circulate through the reception asking people to sign it. I hold onto it for a year and anonymously mail it to the couple as it nears their anniversary date.

Not unhinged, but create a separate email for wedding stuff. After the wedding you never have to worry about interacting with vendors, promos, etc again. You can just ghost the whole email inbox

If you have kids at your wedding, give a couple of them a Polaroid camera so they can make it their “job” to go around and take pictures of everyone while they enjoy the wedding. We also had them taking peoples cake plates, coming up to pick up that persons cake and the it back to them. It made them feel useful and they stayed super focused. We had a TON of pics and didn’t have to have anyone stand in line for cake because they were being delivered.

my cousin had a child free wedding.. she asked our 92 year old grandma to be the flower girl... she uses a walker and put the flowers basket strapped to the front.. so she walked a little bit, toss flowers, grabbed the walker again, walked, tossed more flowers until she got down the aisle... best flower girl ever...

bring scissors!! i was the only bridesmaid who had them and seriously once every 10 minutes i heard "where are julia's scissors??" they were a LIFESAVER and ironically i almost didn't bring them because i thought someone else was going to!

Made my daughter a emergency bride bag for day of. It had tissues, wet wipes, lint brush, Advil, pepto, nail file, bobby pins, safety pins, small sewing kit, tide stain stick, deodorant, mints, travel tooth brush and tooth paste, teeth flossers, chap stick. It was used multiple times at the venue and came in a cute bag.

I worked weddings for decades - the happiest wedding I ever saw the bride and groom took 20 minutes to just hang out in a separate room in between the ceremony and reception. Not photos not with people just them hangin and me pouring them drinks and bringing snacks. They chatted, laughed, and enjoyed their first few minutes of marriage together unwinding before going back in.
