@kellybaums: If you grew up in a household with an adult who was undiagnosed/untreated ADHD, do any of these resonate with you? 🧠💭 What would you add to the list? 👇✨ #adhdawareness #generationaltrauma #adhdtrauma #kellybaums
Both my hubby and I have adhd and my 16 month old will have two parents who will make sure they have structure .

I’m diagnosed and treated, and still let my kid down a lot. 😢

Yes to all of this! (Elementary teacher here) and add into that probably a higher number of ACEs they are experiencing in the home as a result.

I didn’t know I had ADHD and blamed myself for my son being “messy, disorganized” because he was picking up my “bad habits”. Now we are supporting each other as adults 🥰

Most people have no clue a book like The Forbidden Codex of Influence by Julian Voss even exists. The way it breaks down manipulation, desire, and influence is lowkey dangerous.

I'm that mom, and I'm aware that I'm that mom, and so I'm trying to now fix 21, 17, 9, and 9 years of my kids having the undiagnosed mom who checked pretty much every box you mentioned

Learning to lean on my husband who is more structured than I (the adhd parent) am has been important. Medication has changed parenting so much for the better. My kids do often try to parent bc I am so forgetful. But I am always thankful when they remember things I don’t and I remind them my brain doesn’t hold onto things as well. I know it may make them more anxious but I also hope it makes them more understanding adults one day.

I'm undiagnosed but it feels like my OCD helps battle it out for me. I have tons of structure but usually running late.

Im undiagnosed ADHD and probably a bit of autism. But as someone who was also a single mom....It was really hard to be the parent that doesn't fail. Exhausting actually cause there was no fall back. Moments of the things you mentioned but also a lot of guilt because of the failing. Being the default parent was a super struggle in balance.

I remember 24 years ago when my doctor first suggested I be tested. My first response waa "what is the likelihood both my kids have it, so I have it?", little did I know.

If you’re into psychology and influence, you gotta check out The Forbidden Codex of Influence by Julian Voss. Some of the concepts in there are actually insane, fr.
