@mvsforwi: Replying to @Mad Mountain Mike how long are we going to continue to believe in some sort of trickle down economics? #business #taxes #pay #income
People are paid for the value they bring and the difficulty the company would have replacing them. It is each employee's responsibility to better themselves so they can add more value and move up in the company or move themselves to a higher paying job. Just showing up isn't enough, they must grew.

I never like the argument they create jobs. No one starts a business to create jobs. Business see workers as an expense not an asset. So the less they can pay the better it is for the company. If the can run a business without works they will. We are seeing this attempt in real time.

those low wages and having workers having to depend on subsidies from government is more of a strain regardless of the jobs they are adding 🤔

I wouldn't say Walmart created jobs, (*warning half thought through word salad incoming*) Walmart filled jobs that were needed by the demand the communities created. Walmart just did it "more efficiently" than your neighborhood owned stores could so it took over. And since worker cost is antithetical to business efficiency, wages stopped growing.

corporations lobby congress to make sure workers don't have the laws and make unions harder to form...corporations are always the problem but on top of that who normally runs these corporations... white men...
