I wfh 3 days a week & in the office for 2. My kid is staying home & I set up hang out time with friends. We all are switching days so the kids aren't bored & get to see friends.

Check your local boys and girls club. They usually have summer programs and you only pay the $10 membership. That was my go to when my kids were little.

I live in Chicago,at the time our son was 6-8 years old. Summer camp was a daily drop off and pick up at a high school or park district. We payed maybe $200. for the summer. And they provided lunch,snacks and drinks. Depending on access they were allowed to swim if the could pass a swim test.
