you know what's wild?? i read book The Silent Dominion by D. Cross and then started noticing the exact patterns he describes happening in real time on the news. like word for word what he wrote. that either means this guy is a genius or we're all really that predictable to the people running things. either way this book opened my eyes. if you think you already know how the world works this book will humble you real quick

"The core message of christianity is liberation" That's the dumbest statement I've ever heard in relation to slavery. The only reason you'd think so, is if you believe that you are the Isrealites, and even then, enslavement is shown to be an appropriate punishment for them. So you're not safe even if you dream up delusions of slaves being chosen people. This is the same religion that tells slaves to obey their masters instead of condemning their enslavement at all. I'm pretty sure it tells them to return to their abusive masters and submit too. The same christianity that permits people to ethnically cleanse native(Canaanites) people from their lands because they're somehow uniquely "evil". The religion that permits people to take slaves and gives instructions on how to enslave them, keep them, and pass them on to your children. Which is chattle slavery by the way. The slave masters and everyone who supported slavery were a perfect representation of christianity. They weren't outliers. They weren't a small group of people. They were the dominant position and that IS the christian position. You simply don't like that your religion would've supported your enslavement. The bible has no interest in condemning slavery. The most it can give you is bs about how Jesus loves you all equally and you are all equal in his eyes regardless of your slave or master status. The abolishionists were christians because everyone was at the time. They were abolishionists in spite of what the bible's attitude towards slavery is, not because.

1. How weren’t they a good representation of christianity ? The major of the american population at its creation and even up to its abolition were pro slavery and Christian (it was not a small group, the abolitionist were the small group). 2. comparing this to eugenics is just not the same thing, eugenics is proven to be false and based of off dogmas when slavery is literally all over the word of and omnibenevolent god (the bible) 3. Your making it seem like the slave bible was some far off book based off of nothing when all the books came directly from the bible. the fact that it is even possible to find fourteen books from your bible that can be used to manipulate slaves has a lot to say about what christianity really thinks of slavery. 4. What does slavery in Africa have to do with anything ? No atheist is claiming that like what is bro talking about. We are talking about an omnibenevolent god who explicitly protects the practice of slavery in the book that is supposed to guide humans to eternal life. 5. Pretending like the slavery in the bible wasn’t a horrible practice like the bible telling humans that they can cut into a human ear. Maybe slavery was a common practice in Hebrew society but that’s not really a problem hear. the problem is, what would you expect from a perfect all loving god? For him to try and abolish slavery, instead, he endorses it, many times, through the old and new testament. this was not a very well defended video.

slavery was not a common practice everywhere, even the west African kingdoms you mentioned that practice so called “child slavery” was no where near in comparison to the child slavery conducted by Christians
