@profgraves: 🔗 Semester Starter Kit: The Tools to Pass Every Course 🧰 https://stan.store/brandongraves/p/semester-starter-kit I see the struggles of my students and the habits that keep them stuck. If I could go back in time to change my college experience, here are 5 things I would tell myself. 🎒1. Go hard the first 6 weeks - When you start strong it’s harder to fail. - It’s easier to maintain a B than bring up an F - Focus on progression not perfection. Complete every assignment. ⏰ 2. Study when you can’t be distracted - If you work when no one is awake, the rest of the day is yours. -90-120 mins at the start of every day, 5 days/week - This is time for YOU — to work and better yourself. 💼 3. Too much free time kills motivation - Work a part-time job or start a side business. Put in 10-15 hrs/week. - Working helps apply the right amount of pressure needed to be disciplined. - Get the check and experience. 💬 4. It’s easy to fail solo, it’s hard to fail as a group - Start a group chat for every class, especially your major -The group will remind each other & figure things out together. You won’t get stuck. 👨🏾🏫 5. Don’t just skip class plan for days off - Treat class like a job. Show up for your shift and plan days off when you need it the most. - Students who show up don’t fail and are less stressed. #collegeadvice #studentadvice #firstsemester #collegeprofessor
