I welded coil tubing in north texas when the oilfield was booming here I did like 4 wells it was all ass time and about 2 hours of welding in a full day. It was all 7018 3/32 nothing crazy just weld it and they would do a pull test in it and then sit in the truck while they sent it in the ground for 2 hours then pull it out for 2 more hours and then make another weld. I was a single hand at the time for a shop

Pretty sure the insurance you have to carry is double the regular general liability a welder usually carries

Did some up north. Had to butt weld them and grind it smooth to go threw the rollers thay straightenit out. Would been nice if had been socket weld😂

I think it’s more so getting certified by the pipe yards, and coil companies aren’t just going to use some random guy. And whoever is charging that for a connector is bending the coil companies over lol
