So. My daughter spent the weekend with a friend, who lives with her single mom. She was dropped off, and I noticed that they hadn’t left the curb in front of our house. Turns out, she was having car trouble, and was frantically calling around town, trying to figure out if she could afford a mechanic. I’m happy my husband went out and went with her to the parts store, and was able to fix it. She had no one. I added her on the book of face, and saw she had a gofundme for her daughter to go to DC with the middle school. It had been up for over two months and not a single dime was donated. I went into my office, where I had stashed a vanilla visa (ergo I could donate it without my real name) and gave her every penny on it—-I had hoarded it since Xmas, rainy day vibes….and gave her every $ on it. $200. And I have been SO happy today. Damn, it felt good to share some joy. I wish we could do that more often. Help, share the burden among friends, and I am just hoping that it made her day a bit better. 💙

We retired in our 40's and the amount of rude comments we got from friends and family was crazy. Literally no one was happy for us or said congrats.......my dad still asks when I'm getting a job (while sitting in my private library).
