Spanish Steak Recipe - Not fancy, just really good. (Similar to Swiss Steak btw) Ingredients •	2 pounds top round steak •	1 onion, chopped •	1 large bell pepper, chopped •	1 jalapeño, chopped and seeded •	1 can Rotel •	1 (15 oz) can tomato sauce •	2 cups beef broth (or enough to just cover the steak) •	Worcestershire sauce, to taste •	Cajun seasoning, to taste •	Salt and black pepper, to taste Instructions 1.	Season the steak with Cajun seasoning. 2.	Heat a deep pan over medium-high heat. Sear the steak in batches, being careful not to overcrowd the pan so the meat sears instead of steaming. As each batch finishes, remove the meat and set it aside on a plate. 3.	In the same pan with the drippings, add the chopped onion, bell pepper, and jalapeño. Cook until the vegetables begin to soften. 4.	Add the Rotel, tomato sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and beef broth. Return the steak to the pan, adding enough broth so the meat is just covered. 5.	Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and cover. Add salt and black pepper to taste once the sauce is simmering. Stir occasionally. 6.	Cook until the meat is tender enough to cut with a spoon. The sauce will thicken as it reduces. •	If the sauce is not thick enough, remove the lid toward the end and slightly increase the heat, stirring more often to prevent sticking. 7.	Serve over rice or mashed potatoes. Notes This dish is very similar to Swiss steak, but this was my grandma’s recipe and she always called it Spanish steak. Enjoy. #beef #comfortfood #homecook #recipetok
