I know this is a joke but the first scenario is incorrect,since you can hear the sound coming from the Box there must be a medium for sound propagation,this means that Schrodinger's cat experiment does not apply here, as it requires a complete vacuum free from any particles or atoms that could collide with the system and transmit information, Because of this interaction, the wave function collapses, forcing the system into a single state either dead or alive since you heard the cat meowing it means it is alive, therefore, you have performed an indirect measurement.
