Pope Francis in 2024 in Singapore said that all religions lead to God, and mentioned Sikh, Muslim, Hindu, and Christian. He said something similar 2 years prior at a 2022 meeting in Kazakhstan. Was the Pope right or wrong? Can a pope contradict catechism? What happens if/when a pope claims something which does contradict catechism?

They do not believe Jesus is son of God and therefore reject the new covenant

Lumen Gentium plainly teaches that anyone who believes any religious truth can be saved because Jesus is the Truth, so they therefore actually believe in Jesus.

The Catechism Explained says "If through no fault of his own, a man doesn't know Christ or his Church. As long as he seeks God with a sincere heart according to how he understands God, then he too MAY achieve salvation." 💯

It’s not the same God if they don’t believe that Jesus is God. Our God is 3 persons and 1 God always. Jesus exited long before he became a human so no it’s not the same God. Stop trying to make it fit when it doesn’t fit.

Jesus is a guarantee. I wholeheartedly believe that. And I realize this opinion is extremely unpopular with my fellow Christians (I'm Roman Catholic), but I do believe that God talks to people, reaches out to them and sends them holy prophets as He needs and sees fit. The Bible, of course, tells us to beware of false prophets. Take the Muslims, for example. There are so many parallels between Christian beliefs and Islam. I would bet good money that most Christians do not believe that Jesus does appear in the Quran a lot (the Muslim name for Him is "Isa"), and there is even a whole chapter of the Quran named after the Virgin Mary! And I am not endorsing Islam and its prophet by saying this (just trying to voice an observation), but I think the proof is in the pudding when it comes to "false" prophets. After Christianity, Islam is arguably the world's second largest religion. From a purely objective point of view, the numbers don't lie and it does appear that God sent the Prophet Muhammad to minister a particular version of God's truth to the people who have come to call themselves "Muslims" in a way that makes sense to them. Their Quran advocates this for them at Surah Ibrahim (Chapter 14), Verse 4 reads: "And We did not send any messenger except [speaking] in the language of his people to state clearly for them..."
(Quran 14:4) Arabic: وَمَا أَرْسَلْنَا مِن رَّسُولٍ إِلَّا بِلِسَانِ قَوْمِهِ لِيُبَيِّنَ لَهُمْۖ فَيُضِلّاللَّهُمَن يَشَاءُوَيَهْدِي مَن يَشَاءُۚ وَهُوَ الْعَزِيزُالْحَكِيمُ- This verse emphasizes that God sends messengers who speak the language of their people, so the message is clear and understandable. It reflects God's justice and wisdom in ensuring that His message is accessible to each community in their own tongue. The message conveyed by the Islamic Prophet Muhammad in the Quran is the message intended for Muslims, and not everyone is intended to be Muslim, despite what some Muslims think. But both Christians and Muslims believe in the devil. And division is the devil's favorite tool

When you read the Quran and contrast it to the Bible it is easy to see that they are different Gods. It is easy to understand who the Muslim god is and if Catholics believe them to be the same then we worship a different God as well. The god of Islam is a trickster among other things, is that the god of Catholicism? Peace be with you.
