Every Dollar General I go to is run down, dirty, and unorganized (everything is everywhere!). If there's a line... have fun waiting. 😭

as a dollar general worker, most of the time, this is true! most of the time, its just me and my manager, who is an older woman, it is really upsetting, and I do still get genuinely scared.. please It will only get worse for us if people start boycotting us.. I can only see bad things happening.. I would still understand.. but its the only place I got for income right now.. I cant drive and the place is only a like 5-10 mintue walk.. I would understand if you guys boycott but I dont forsee it going well.

I was SA’d by a customer when I worked at DG and the manager and company got mad because the assistant manager on duty(was out of eye sight of the front end, he had to physically protect me from violent customers several times) called the police. They refused to give me the promotion I was in line for over the incident.

I live in a corporate suburban Pennsylvania town and the Dollar Generals here were still hiring at under $10 an hour post covid. They're one of the worst retail stores to work for

I used to work at Dollar General in my time there we were robbed twice or three times I was never working. My boss would just leave me alone in the store all the time and when I told the manager because that was the assistant manager, she didn’t do anything about it, and she would still give her all the hours. It was a very bad situation and as a young 20-year-old girl working there I felt very nervous.

I used to work at DG for a few months. they refused to let me take expired/damaged boxed or canned foods. shelf stable stuff only a day old, and they threw it out. not to mention I was only paid 10 an hour and was often by myself in the store. hated that place so much
