No no no…. Always SAVE YOUR BACK!! put the bed up. (Check to see if the patient can help you turn) especially if they have rails way better I usually put on the bedpan a piece of wet paper towel that way it won’t “splash” everywhere after I remove the bedpan once their done wipe their butts fully (I’m very OCD with that) then remove the dirty pad and put a new pad by rolling it tuck the new pad as far as you can then turn the patient to the clean pad and remove the old one (try not to cross contaminant) then put a new briefs on them

Nope that’s why I put a trash bag surrounding my bedpan with a chuck over it. Uncover the bedpan with the intact bag, chuck and garbage
