@habarmajeerteen: From 1960–2026, the relationship between the Somalia, Somaliland, and Puntland (Majeerteenia) has been influenced by colonial borders and political conflict. When these three separate independent countries had existed before Europeans came to the Horn of Africa, then Europeans later created geographical borders that divided Somali people into five parts. When Somali unity did not exist before colonization and was promoted by Europeans after dividing Somali territories. that more than 100 years later, certain Somalis still believe in this idea of unity, while separate Somali regions could instead become independent countries that cooperate and support each other like before European colonization.
