Question as someone with pretty severe ocd - have you ever found relief from medication? I know you mentioned on your weightloss videos you gained weight from SSRIs and am wondering if you ever found relief from using them for treating your ocd, or if you’re finding therapy more helpful?

My dtr is 9yo. She has ADHD and recently diagnosed with OCD in the last few months. Her hyperfixations and “brain loops” make perfect sense now. We have her in therapy. I think she has a long way to go, but she’s getting there. The therapy is so beneficial for me and my husband so we can better understand her brain. Was school especially are for you? This school year was literallyyyyy the worst for her. Not exaggerating at all. We all barely made it out alive.

When I was 9 I kept applying to collage and getting grants and scholarships. Ppl showed up with a big check for me for 35,000 weeks lived in in a 15 br 8 bathroom home 😌😭 and we got a lot mailed in too.

I just found out I’ve had ocd my whole life a year ago and am in the process of trying to start meds for it now. It’s 100% distressing 98% of the time bc 60% of my thoughts are intrusive and I spend a lot of the time trying to recover or react to them
