@femalequotient: Will never scroll past a Haka video 🙌 Fierce, powerful, and strong, the traditional war dance of the indigenous Māori people signifies a massive source of cultural pride and is commonly performed to celebrate great achievements of one another. Here, a powerful performance from Westlake Girls High School in Auckland, New Zealand at ASB Polyfest 2026.
I think we’re all crying because we are witnessing women standing in their power. Taking up space. Being loud. It’s some real goddess energy that we all need to embody more.

We cry because we REMEMBER. Our souls remember the timelines when women were empowered, and the Matriarchy ruled. We’re soooo close to shifting back to that if we stay strong and if courageous women like this keep showing us what we once were and what we will be again❤️

I am not Maori, I don't even know very much about the culture. But I am always moved to tears and get goosebumps when I come across a Haka.

Yelling from the core is such an underrated skill. They have this skill. And it must feel great to do Haka performance. This whole thing is cathartic.

I never swipe until Haka video is complete. Not a member of this culture, but I have the highest respect and my personal feeling is that this is sacred and must be respected . I love it so much.

I think the HAKA is one of thee most beautiful and sometimes even frightening forms of cultural expression that I’ve never seen. It’s poetry and art in such an incredibly dramatic live fashion.
