@safal.loves: Bhairav has a deep and powerful connection with Nepal, especially within the Kathmandu Valley. Worshipped as the fierce form of Shiva, Bhairav is believed to protect cities, temples, and devotees from negative forces. Many ancient kingdoms of Nepal considered Bhairav their guardian deity, which is why Bhairav temples can be found throughout Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, and Patan. From Akash Bhairav and Sweta Bhairav to Kala Bhairav and Pachali Bhairav, each form carries its own history, symbolism, and spiritual significance. Bhairav worship is also closely linked with Nepal’s tantric traditions, masked dances, festivals, and ancient rituals that continue even today. For centuries, Bhairav has remained one of the most respected and powerful deities in Nepalese culture. Many rare manifestations of Bhairav are here with strong energy where one can go into meditative states effortlessly. With this I conclude the Series Bhairav here. All the temples of his I could visit is through his grace. Me being able to put his forms in public is him giving me AADESH to offer him to public. Jay Bhairav Baba🔥 #nepalitiktok #temple #bhairav #spirtuality #tantra

You’ve got it wrong. This is not Kal Bhairav. The figure shown is Pal Yeshe Gonpo (Mahakala), a Buddhist Dharma Protector. In Vajrayana Buddhism, Mahakala is regarded as an enlightened protector and an emanation of Avalokiteshvara.
Kal Bhairav, on the other hand, is a form of Shiva in Hinduism. While there are similarities in appearance that can cause confusion, they are not considered the same figure within Buddhist teachings. In Buddhism, Shiva is generally viewed as a worldly deity within samsara, whereas Mahakala is revered as an enlightened protector.
So it is disappointing to see this statue misidentified as Shiva or Kal Bhairav. Different traditions have different understandings, and it is important to represent them accurately.
