Mine isn’t when someone who doesn’t typically call calls me. It’s when somebody calls me at a weird hour. When my grandma passed away, my father called me at 9:30 PM. He’s usually asleep by 7:30. If my mom calls me after 11, something’s wrong. I don’t make the rules. This is just how it is.

My dad will call me once every 8-10 months and in a monotoned voice leave a voicemail with “call me asap” if I miss it just for him to ask me how I’m doing

If someone calls me and I don't recognize the number, I'm not picking up. If they call a second time right after then I will cuz it could be important at that point.

If anyone in my family calls me after 9pm I know someone has died…all my family members go to bed at 8pm like clockwork…but then there’s me who is the night owl and works night shifts and they know not to call me after 9am till about 3pm
