my hardest trade off right now is wearing abdominal compression when I need the support and mobility but any amount of compression worsens my gut symptoms.

I try to explain this to my Physical Therapist the Va gave me. Yeah that exercise help my knees or hip or back or shoulders whatever part we are working on but then it hurts my other body parts that in have arthritis and joint issues with.

I have found that meal prepping with freezer cubes helps me manage the histamine response a *lot*

I always need to exercise to keep everything working properly and be able to sleep but I usually have some injury that keeps me from exercising

This. Or my derm being annoyed with me because the topical treatment isn’t working on my acne but I refuse to go on a pill that could affect my body in other ways. They don’t get it and think I’m dramatic.

I use magnesium bisglycinate. It helps me sleep. Is magnesium citrate better for hEDS and comorbidities?

Just having to think it all through and make the daily choice can be tough. Also managing one joint that’s acting up often means another joint getting worse.

I Love many of my compression and joint support thingies but sometimes I can't stand how some of them feel. I can wear the hip one all day or I could get sensory overloadfrom it on 2 minutes. They also ad layers in the summer ☀️:(

Exactly!! Do I grab whatever electrolyte drink they’re selling in the vending machine at work because I forgot to bring my electrolytes from home? The salt will help the brain fog, but the citric acid in Every electrolyte drink will irritate my GERD 🤦

I’m not sure if you have already, but could you make a video on things you can do to support a healthy pregnancy with hEDS? I know you’re not an OBGYN but all info is helpful! :)

Oooh, thank you for spelling this out because yes, but also I forget all these balances and then sometimes crash out over the bad combo of choices I end up making. With the brain fog I tend to forget to take extra histamine blockers when prepping. And I discount the sensory impact of my compression stuff and wonder why I'm just not okay.

Or meal prep but freeze the daily portions. My naturopathic dr taught me this. 😊

Or using my cane to support my back, hips, knees, ankles and balance and sacrifice the comfort of my subluxated shoulder that I can’t seem to keep in place.
