When we first started dating, my husband lost his job during COVID while I was still working, so I paid for our dates. During that time, he often talked about someday saving enough money to buy a Rolex. A few months earlier, for my birthday, he had built me a hutch for my framed photos after I mentioned I couldn’t find one that fit the space. It was one of the most thoughtful gifts I had ever received because it showed me he truly listened. So when I had the chance, I bought him the Rolex. I remember thinking that even if our relationship didn’t last, he was such a good person that he deserved something special. Years later, he still wears that Rolex every day, and that hutch is now filled with photographs of the life we’ve built together. The watch marks the passing of time, but the hutch holds the memories of how we spent it.

I spent 500 dollars on multiple gifts one year..bday I think...and I also bought 1 book. all she does is talk about how I bought her a book for her bday. I left her a few months ago and it was the best decision ever.

my wife got me a box of pokemon cards 4 years ago. let me tell you, I never told her nor did I collect anymore. I just quietly passed by the card aisle and looked at the cards since she met me. best day ever. I felt 11 years old. I have not stopped collecting since and she collects with me. best woman I can ask for. she wants me to be a kid again and I love her for that

i feel this now. she cooked for me, and I have to work a second job to pay the bills, and doordash after both just to afford to take her to taco bell. i feel like I'm failing, but she still says she loves me. I'd give anything to afford taking her to a nice restaurant for once

It’s never about the price for me personally. It’s about the thoughts and efforts one put into it. That’s what matters to me the most. You can buy me an expensive gift but if you didn’t put much thought into it or doesn’t even know that I doesn’t even like the gift, what’s the point in that?

My now wife mentioned how the stools we had hurt her back because there was no back rest. She used them daily to study. The day after she mentioned it, while she was at school, I went to the store and bought new stools so she could be more comfortable. She came in and immediately started crying. I am one of those people who seem like they don’t listen because I forgot about details. If it’s something that matters to her… I listen.

took my bf to disneyland last month because he told me his family was too poor to afford it growing up. In our relationship he pays for everything and never fails to bring me flowers or get me something Im craving/want. I was more than happy to see him happy at disneyland experiencing what his younger self probably would of wanted to enjoy. Love is unconditional, no matter the circumstances. ❤️
