Just got certified as a Trichologist… Im a braider definitely debating on taking stitch braids out of my service. The amount of gel needed to achieve that look is just not healthy for the scalp 😅

as a braider myself ... we do that cuz the product we use to braid ... leaves a white or orange residue when it dries ... so to make it disappear we keep the roots and fly away hold tight ... we use the moose and freeze spray to keep to make the hair Shiny and to make it hold and the heat from the dryer or warm towel makes the residue disappear for that moment ... idk what happens the next day but the moment is all that matters 💀

Foam lays down fly aways that’s why you use braiding foams foam sets the hair and she the style that’s why is is put on the style after it is done and a little hair spray keep they the style in place I don’t agree with a lot of either but that’s what it’s for

The foam helps set the style and get rid of fly aways. I only do it for certain styles and I also don’t put braid gel directly on ppls scalp or over use products on the hair.
