people saying 52 minutes from manhattan isn’t nyc are simply wrong lol nyc is SO much more than manhattan. and this is coming from someone who lived in manhattan for 6 years because i thought that was my dream but then decided it wasn’t for me and moved to a small neighborhood deep in brooklyn where im so much happier. and still in nyc ;)

12 years ago I decided to sell everything I owned and move to NYC with no job and only 6 weeks of living expenses saved up. I worked a lot of odd jobs so I could have the flexibility to explore the city I love. I’m still here and it’s only gotten better and better!

Don’t regret spending my 20s in NYC. Moved there with 500 bucks and a friend renting out her living room. If you want it. You can get it.

I did this in 2013 at 20. Found a utility closet a person was renting on Craigslist for $500 a month, bought a cot. I got here by train from KY with like $2200 and found multiple jobs and started at a community college in a month. Still here. 💗

I so admire people like this, HOWWWWWWWWW even my leaps of faiths are all secretly planned. I’ve tried being impulsive a few times and I ended up regretting it each time. I probably weigh the risks and pros and cons subconsciously after every move
