this might be a silly question, but the losing part is what gets me. so if I have an account with someone (ex: acorn) and I have $20 in the account but invested $5, would I lose just the $5 I invested? or could I lose more

I heard on a podcast clip here on tiktok (so I have no clue who was talking or the podcast) that any company that purchased a Superbowl Ad is going to experience a nosedive. The Superbowl tends to be an indicator for markets that are in a downward slope.

I contribute weekly to my managed TFSA but anytime there's a big dip I move a chunk from my other savings accounts to my TFSA. I got scared in 21/22 and held off contributing anything for the whole year but now I know better. Consistency is key.
