I was soooo mad that boys got to go on white water rafting trips and had many more camping trips than the girls. I didn't even realize until later in life that I was already questioning the patriarchy.

my wife and I both grew up Mormon, and I was surprised to learn how much of her experience in young women's was focused on men and how to best serve men. She was surprised to learn that in young men's, we didn't really talk about the girls. At least not outside of the obligatory "don't be gay" lessons, and even those were pretty male focused

Arguably the stats of "leaving the church" should be taken as a downplay datapoint, Men (especially with disabilitys like me) do not leave Legally out of fear of family abandonment/ostrichization, I have not stepped foot in one unless obligated to in 4+ years... yet keeping the title instead of fileing quit mormon saves my grandma from a heart attack, and me from being truely alone
