In my opinion, both lines are translations that are trying to say his inhuman love is unlike anything else, or he doesn’t understand human love enough to really understand the difference. He loves yoshiki, period. I do think it’s strange that people online want to pretend there is no romantic or sexual tension though.

I was personally attached to a scene in the Beastars manga where Pina says, “If I am in a dark room with someone, I feel inclined to kiss them.” And the anime changed it to, “When I’m in a dark room with someone— in the case that that someone is a girl, I just wanna kiss her.” TIIIRED of these anime script writers erasing queer implication.

It upset me so bad when I found out they changed it 😭 like there’s nothing wrong with what was said in the dub but it changed the point of it in a way to me.
