It’s the same as "I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it.” (Evelyn Beatrice Hall) Words and/or actions always have an effect and/or consequences. You can say/do what you want, but be prepared for what comes next. You can’t say/do something, and then backtrack because of the domino effect that it may/may not have caused after you have already said/done it.

Imagine if a kid in school was being bullied by some other kid. That other kid is getting consequences from other adults, yes, but that kid doesn't stop bullying the other kid because if the bullied kid isn't sticking up for themselves, the bully won't take other consequences seriously. Like, if a bully gets punished by someone else, not much comes of it afterwards. If the bullied child stands up for themselves, the bully will see that that kid isn't someone they can bully. Kids today don't take adults punishments seriously. If you want your child to be safe, they need to know how to teach other people's children's to keep their hands to themselves. especially if other parents aren't being the ones to properly teach their bully children how to keep their hands to themselves.
