Bad take. He was only bumbling before dagobah. He was still out classed by Vader until he got more training between empire and return of the Jedi, and of course he continued to train after, else he’d never have been able to train Ben Solo. Fact is he improves because of his connection to the force more than anything else.

Luke had several years to train and improve by the point of the scene. and in original Canon I gave you Legends, he becomes the most powerful Jedi to have ever exist by his time. so now Disney in is doing the same thing in their Canon, because they know that is what the fans know and want to see.
