Hot take: Every path lowkey, because we are slowly loosing path identity as a whole. Hunt characters being good in Multi Target, Erudition character being good in 1-3 enemy szenarios (looking at you Anaxa) Sustains became a mix-up between Harmony, Nihility and Abundance/Preservation. And Mono Paths just destroy these path identifications, Hyacine would be Abundance and Cyrene Harmony. Elation is a bit better as a path. It was bound to happen that we loose path identity, because it is just boring after a while.

Also important mention is that after enemies die the debuffs are just lost, which makes Harmony Superior since you buff YOUR characters and you constantly have characters in their prime

Honestly they do have an identity. Nihility has two forms. Debuffs and DoT. Debuffs are support characters (Cipher, Welt, The Dahila) and DoT is currently a Triple Carry at their premium (Kafka, B.S., Hysilens) which don't have to worry so much about breaking because all their damage is done off turn and those characters can easily reapply without issue.

And let’s not forget harmony characters have debuffs too that are universally applied and don’t need Effect hit rate (tribbie vulnerability debuff for example)

Nihilty isnt bad. Theyre outclassed by harmony - not because of their paths and one being inherently. Worse. Mblade is THE prime example of this. The EHR argument also isnt really a thing anymore. Pretty much all nihility units gain something from building EHR on themselves besides the higher chanche to land debuffs. Characters gaining more self amps is actually a pro for nihility units, not a con. Also enemy debuffs are much more universal than buffs (dmg bonus not working with elation or break, dpses not always having atk scaling but also hp, crit buffs not usable on break and dot teams and so on) this isnt a path issue. Just a general powercreep issue. And once again, Mblade is the perfect example for this

Also another thing about nihility is the def shred limit. It was originally meant to be a balance thing but it now is just another thing holding nihility back from actually competing with Harmon

The worst is preservation. 6 units, 2 of which being awful 4 stars that can change path(yes I consider preservation mc to be a 4 star). Most of them have been powerkrept to the whazoo. The only character than can keep up are aventurine and Dan pt. It’s at the very least the most abandoned path

they should make a debuff that makes your character advance when they hit the enemy like maybe 1 attack= 1 debuff stack consumed= 50% action advance

wouldent rly say nihility is bad more so outclassed. the cipher mention for example. she can very much be put in basically any team in the game and that can be said for majority of the debuffers. their dmg amp is on par if not only a little behind while keeping the flexibility for most teams. their issue comes from the lack of utility outside of that. action advances being one of the major once. while the overall amping per action is basically on par majority of harmony units either gets action advances or speed buffs and if not you just slap on ddd and still get extra turns per cycle and that alone will always keep harmony ahead of nihility

used to love the path(Kafka and Archron are my two favorite characters) but I have grown to hate it so much. I hate it so much that I abandon my two favorite characters and just gave up building teams for them. I don't see the point of building DoT or get the next new shiny subdps debugger(Ciper and Blade SP). I rather just focus on my Break(which uses the path anyway), Rem, and Elation teams. Praying for a Kafka SP next year and maybe even a Archron one to get them out of the dot/debuffer architects.
