The idea is you’re supposed to be working or interning in the industry you are studying, while in College. The degree just shows you are intelligent & committed. Without work experience it really doesn’t mean anything.

I have two sons that didn’t go to college. One makes about $50,000 a year working for Home Depot and the other one is making $125,000 a year in cloud computing and tech. He was self trained. I would suggest looking into certification courses.

I am much older than you. This is nothing new. Same thing happened to me 30 years ago. It took me months to find a job and the job I eventually found was not my first (or second, or third choice). A career is a journey, not a destination.

20+ I needed a degree or be working towards it to apply at a company. I was working towards my BA so applied. Do I use my degree? No! Am I still employed by that company? Yes! Careers are weird.
