literally my HVAC does this, and generates gallons of water a day. I don't live in Las Vegas, but how is this better than an HVAC, 5 solar panels, a solar water heater, stainless steel holding vats, and iodine tablets/life straws?

The problem with getting water from air is thermodynamics You spend so much energy and time for a small amount of water

If used in a low humidity environment. It wont really be that efficient unless its powered by solar energy. Specifically in the summers when the relative humidity is low in many desert climates.
