Treat them as if they were someone/something you were developing a relationship with. Ask them how their day was, how your day was, say “thank you” and show gratitude for being able to use them for spiritual insight. They speak to you so you should be speaking to them.

Get urself a journal and write the meanings of everything inside of it, card meaning, constellations, astrology, etc… . Feels much better than using the card guidebook

BOND WITH THE DECK FIRST!!! You have to bond with it before doing readings. It's like getting to know a person. I recommend doing the introduction spread! it really helps. Your can bond with your deck just by shuffling it or carrying it around in your bag, orr sleeping next to it!! Also Don't be scared when you have to look up the meanings of the cards. But I think its better to memorize the cards when you are doing readings, don't start memorizing them before doing the readings. Hope this helps!!

Personally. I’ve learnt to shuffle random music while I do my own tarot readings and I’ve noticed that certain lyrics feel louder so I right them down and the cards as I go. When I look back the lyrics always line up with the reading.

Don’t let anyone touch your deck, cleanse the deck and yourself and bond with it. It’s really important to protect your energy within the cards and when you’re done with them.

I sleep with a deck of cards under my pillow, it blends in very well with my subconscious, dreams seem more "alive" and more "real" I don't think I've noticed that it drains my energy, at most my energy it merges with that of the tarot

Hi! I’ve been reading tarot for almost 7 years now and I can give u some tips, make sure u cleanse it with incense or crystals after every use. If ppl ask for free readings don’t always give ur energy out, for friends of u can for practice but protect your energy. Make sure u know what most of them mean upright because you’ll know what they mean in reverse. It’s the opposite!! One last thing! Study with different types of spreads. Start with 3 card spreads then work your way up to 10 card ones. Everyone’s tarot journey is different please do not worry if it’s stressful or u feel like ur not understanding it quickly! If you’d likee more help pls dm me further! I’m happy to help🤍🤍

bond with your cards. listen to your favourite songs and shuffle them without any questions or intentions. your cards won’t tell you anything truly useful or meaningful if you don’t connect with them!

don't rush to the book or internet if you don't understand a reading. sit with the card for a bit, look at them : does a number repeat? a color, a symbol? what does this card symbolically represent? etc. don't force yourself to remember, just allow to think about it casually. you know more than you think. then, if you're still struggling, read the meanings on internet or the book you have! but trust your intuition first. sometimes, your intuition will tell you something completely different from the meaning of a card, trust your guts
