That scene was so uncomfortable to watch. At least they toned it down in the show. I was told that in the book Daphne apparently rapes Simon while he’s drunk to try to get pregnant.

She was SO wrong for this, but I think it's also really ignorant how people dismiss the stupidity and unfairness of Simon's actions towards Daphne just because she did something terrible (which also was, in fact, a direct reaction to his behaviour)

"She did something terrible" NOBODY explained anything. How would she know what she did if Daphne never had the knowledge. Simon didn't tell her, it was an REACTION because of HIS actions. Still not right, but please think that knowledge wasn't as available as it is in our time

WHAT are these comments on abt?! She wasn’t in the wrong and even if she was, it would be a little bit. He LIED to her about the one thing she wanted in life. She accepted the “fact” she wouldn’t have kids cluelessly . If he’d been honest about it , it wouldn’t have been that bad . she was way more vulnerable and uneducated on those kind of things than him so why blame her for seeking the truth herself?
