Did heavy weights for 30 years, now I have bad knees and shoulders. Light weight, more reps are better in my opinion.

heavy weights are not the way to go lift comfortably as you age.

Lmao all these comments. If 3 to 6 rep sets are injuring you so easily, please consult a doctor.

💯 Bro! I’m 47 and been lifting heavy weights since I was 20. I look 35 and when I was running around playing sports I got hurt so much more. No more sports = better body and healthier life. ❤️

keep the weight moderate and keep ur reps 10 to 20 per set, do not go to complete failure, instead just do more sets. usually 15 sets all together for smaller muscle groups and 20 to 30 sets for larger muscle groups.
example foe quads u can do 30 sets, for back u can do 30 sets, as they require more exersies to hit every angle.
for biceps 15 sets is plenty, so is for calves. abdominal muscles are best trained by hitting a certain rep range regardless of how many sets it takes u to get there, u use them as cardio workout. I hit anywhere from 500 to 700 rep range depending how I feel that day. usually u train them in the morning when u wake up with some black coffie and water. triceps is ok 15 sets, forearms dont have to be trained as much if u grip hard during ur sets for other lifts. if u dont 5 sets a side is plenty for forearms. shoulders 5 sets per head, total 15 sets. chest can be hit with 20 sets, half of that workload should be for upper chest as its very stubborn to grow. hams is 15 sets. if u workout ur neck 5 sets for front and back is ok. traps is 5 sets and should be trained on back day. each body part hit once a week if u are bulking and 2 times a week if u are cutting. calves and abs can be trained more often.
