if he keeps improving his mechanics and learns how to throw a touch pass at the NFL level, he absolutely has the talent to lead a team. last year we saw some Christian Ponder levels of bad QB play, but by the end of the year he started to look competent. just keep putting one good day after another and he'll get there.
