Yes, we cant actually envision new things. Every face you've ever seen in a dream, has been a face you've seen while you were awake (even if just for a second in a mall 5 years ago). Human faces specifically are too complex to recreate even with mixing mental models. The same could also be said for your choices and beliefs, they're just the accumulation of all of your experiences interacting with an environment.

damn wait you're on to something, I think you're right in a sense, but in my mind our brains are so advanced past AI its like comparing a galaxy to an ant, until AI is indistinguishable from humans in all aspects we wont be able to know for sure
