VIDEO: Woman suffers second-degree burns while trying to turn boiling water to ice in trick A woman suffered second-degree burns after performing a trick where she attempted to turn boiling water into ice. In a clip, Jiang Nu stands outside in the show holding a large flask of boiling water. The young woman hurls it into the air intending for the particles to immediately turn to ice. Unfortunately, the stunt did not go as planned and Jiang ended up with the water splashing onto her skin. Despite swirling the water in a semicircular direction as she was supposed to, she ended up scolding her head. She can be seen falling to the ground from the pain and shock after receiving second-degree burns to her skin. Her boyfriend who was filming her at the time rushed over to help her. She had spotted what was meant to be a fun trick on the internet and decided to try it out for herself. Luckily, Jiang works in the medical profession so she knew how to handle the situation. She applied a cold compress quickly after for almost two hours but ended up going to a hospital where she was administered cream for the burns. Despite suffering painful burns Jiang still tried the stunt again the next day, as reported by NeedToKnow. This time, she covered her head using the hood from a puffer jacket so she was protected. Although she was in weather of -20 degrees, the trick still failed, however she didn’t get hurt that time. Jiang had travelled with her boyfriend from a city in southern China to the Heilongjiang Province, located in the northeast. In the trick, it’s important to note that it’s not actually the water that freezes but the splashed water forms water vapor. The vapor condenses into water droplets in the cold air which forms small crystals of ice. It’s not possible to successfully perform the trick by just splashing water, and conditions must be extremely cold for the phenomenon to work. #stunt #dangerous #trick #fail #mistake #natural
