Binoculars for sure lightweight rain, boots or shoe covers that are rubber. Amazon sells those a lightweight puffer coat a good raincoat a light white vest to go underneath the raincoat or the puffer and you don't need many clothes because you're gonna be dressing in layers. You definitely don't need no dress clothes unless you choose to dress up, but Alaskan cruises are very laid-back and casual. You'll want a hat and gloves and a good wind, resistant umbrella and a wet dry bag.

I’ve cruised to Alaska 3 times at the end of June. I wore hoodies and puffer vests with jeans and sneakers. On land, it was warm only need a jacket. I got sunburned each time. On the ship out on deck, it’s sooooo cold.

A rain jacket, sweatshirts, gloves. No need to over pack because you can wear the same clothes a couple of days since most of the time you have your jacket on.

I go in July and I don’t want to buy waterproof hiking a shoes so I am taking a chance and just going to spray water proof protection on my brooks tennis shoes and hope it works out. 😬

Must have is a good rain jacket and not heavy, it will warm up once in the ports. We have been over 10 times. We also have the xtratuff ankle deck boots, waterproof and slip resistant. Also depending on your excursions, if you are doing a whale watching or glaciers it does get cold out there, gloves and hat. Also don’t overpack because we did the first 2 times. I wear black leggings everyday with my xtratuff boots or water proof tennis shoes. We have got lucky 3 or 4 times and no rain. Also binoculars for sure, a good pair.

Layers are the best advice. I wore long sleeve shirt, vest & rain jacket. Have beanie & gloves too! Also — sea days out of Seattle can be ROUGH. Bring something for motion sickness

I just got back last week. Raincoat, short sleeve on the ship it’s hot. Skagway was cold and very windy, Juana it rained not as cold. Wear sweatpants and sweatshirts.

I live here in Southeast… Where in Alaska are you crusing? The interior will be warmer and dryer then the inside passage / south east. I recommend light layers waterproof outer layer, (you prob won’t be cold but you’ll want to stay dry. And a decent pair of waterproof, comfortable shoes for walking around

Goretex sneakers. It rained all day in Juneau and we were warm and dry. Boots aren’t comfortable for me so I got some waterproof Hokas and they were perfect. I wore water resistant hiking pants over thermal bottoms, a fleece hoodie and rain jacket. It wasn’t too bulky but plenty warm enough. We just went two weeks ago.

Cruises to Alaska are pretty casual - even for dinners! Must have rain gear. Bathing suit also needed. Layers basically - but nothing in particular.
