I would take that closet out and extend the living room. The door you came into I would add entry closet. Maybe extend the kitchen to back door with an island. I guest bathroom with laundry. Toilet and sink.

I like this house, fresh paint and I like the natural light and it's not open layout. I would turn the side door into a window. So it doesn't interfere with the stairs. I like the kitchen, except that it doesn't have vents over the stove. Upstairs bathtubs scare me for some reason. Over all it looks like a lovely family home
